Wishlist Blog Illustrations.
Wishlist is all about discussion and learning surrounding the E-commerce space. It's vision; to present as a blog, but act as so much more; a sounding-board, a meeting room, an inspiration provider, a podcast, an idea-swap, a networking event... I could go on.
The site, being not for profit, uses the Squarespace pre-fab softwear (sorry Wix). Design concepts and style guide where fully formed when the project came to me. All I had to do was put it together as a workable site. In doing this I realised the aesthetic was dynamic, but quite harsh, and needed a 'softening agent'. So, my Wishlist illustrations where born.
The site is still a work in progress, I have no link yet, and end product could look different to what I'm presenting below.

Primary Icons.
The primary icons appear on the homepage, not dissimilar to how I use icon links on the top of this page, and other pages in my portfolio. I call them 'overview links', and provide a summary of whats to come. They're a perfect opportunity to present this summary not only via text, but imagery (great from certain accessibility standpoints). And to have a little fun.

Secondary Event Page Icons.
Walk up the red carpet folks... A big part of the blog is to be able to feature and advertise galas, workshops, networking events etc. This particular illustration is for 'Round table talks'.

Authority Page illustrations.
The purpose of the authority page is to provide credentials. Featuring those leading in their field or highly experienced at what they do, sharing this knowledge with others.
