Animation.

An illustrator at heart. Below, find examples of work done for both clients and myself.

The next natural step for an illustrator with digital fluency. I'm excited to share a glimpse of my animation skills, showcased in the examples below. I've got SVG animations, After Effects examples, and Procreate examples. Get stuck in.

SVGator
After Effects

SVGator.

Super-Maxi Yacht.

SVGator uses SMIL, an XML-based language, enables animation definitions (movement, rotation, scaling, color changes) within SVG files. Embedded directly into HTML, these animations enhance web design, elevate brand presence, and contribute to a lighter page weight and faster load speed, without relying on external resources like GIFs or videos. Their a fabulous way to set a brand apart, and delight users without annoying the devs or hindering conversion. This particular animation is for my dad, who loves yachts but can't afford one. More animations coming soon on my instagram.

After Effects.

EHP Labs & Hairhouse Loading Signals.

Going old-school. After Effects is still a leading industry animation platform, and it boasts the broadest scope for animation that I've experienced, with the option of incorporating some pretty cool effects, hence the name. When on either of the sites linked below, you'll have to be quick. We always aimed for fast load speed on our websites, so the less you see the loading signal, the better. However, they are there. The star was the option picked for EHP Labs.

Procreate

Procreate.

Exploding Christmas Bauble.

Frame-by-frame animation is not dead, and now it's digitised on this beautiful Australian-made platform, Procreate. It's also a lot of fun if you have the time. The animation to the right was some experimentation I undertook for my Etsy site, experimenting with card gifs on mobile. Of course, Giphy make that happen, but only for a Merry Christmas surprise gift for my sister who lives interstate. Still worth it.
