Professional Summary.

I am a versatile professional and creative all-rounder. Graphic Design (print and digital) UX/UI Web/Digital Design, Branding, Editing & Media, Illustration, Art and Animation, with familiarity in the basics of EDM & social media marketing, SEO and developer coms. I can be both digital technician and digital artist; someone who can provide duel value in the form of a single employee. 

 

With over four years of full-time agency and industry experience, I specialize in crafting design solutions across digital and print mediums. Leveraging a combination of working knowledge, best practices, research, and data, I aim to elevate user experience, visually organize data and content, and infuse an artistic touch, along with a flair for storytelling.

Mid-weight Graphic Designer, UX/UI Designer, Project Lead & Primary Brand Illustrator, Oct 2018 – April 2023.
 

Overdose.Digital is an E-Commerce Agency that works mostly with Shopify/+, and Magento, but also DotDigital, WooCommerce and more. Based in New Zealand with it's flagship Australian office here in Melbourne, a company expanding not only across the country but internationally. 

In 2021 I was promoted to mid-level designer and offered the additional responsibility of leading projects, on top of coordinating retainer clients, managing ad-hoc tasks and being the go-to brand illustration and animation specialist.

UX/UI Designer, Key Responsibilities and Accomplishments:​
  • Branding, User Experience and e-commerce adherence: Ensuring consistent and visually appealing brand representation across a project site. This also involved the implementation of User Experience best practice for ecommerce. 

  • Meeting technical requirements on the design tool Figma: Creating and using complex automation templates and custom symbols, components, parent components, child components, auto-layout and more, to ensure large and complex website designs where completed to a professional standard on time and to budget

  • Effective teamwork with Co-designers. 

  • Cross-functional collaboration to ensure Websites where optimised for SEO while still meeting design best practice, and designing assets for marketing campaigns and socials.

  • Prototyping and presentation skills through use of static presentation platforms like Invision and animated prototyping through Figma.

  • Effective handover to developers post project sign-off, using the Figma tool-set, basic knowledge of development requirements whether it be a coupled or headless, based on a Shopify theme or more custom Magento project

  • In-house Graphic design duties that included Overdose website upkeep, mechandise design, instagram post design and execution and company event collateral design.

  • Design team collaboration and innovation sessions, sharing insights relating to both the latest UX research and trends, to learning current Figma skills and updates and up-skilling in -for me personally- SVG. animation. â€‹

  • Managing quick turn-arounds and complex workloads ranging from ad-hoc tasks, managing my own retainer clients to leading large projects.

Primary Brand Illustrator, Key Responsibilities and Accomplishments:

  • Development and illustration of custom branded assets and asset styles to be used across the brand and within the sites, in order to elevate the experience and create memorability, and enhance the brand to sit it above others in the market. These include primary hero banner illustrations and animations, secondary page illustrations and animations, illustrations and animations for ad campaigns and custom icons.

  • Mentoring and up-skilling peers in technical and creative illustration techniques and Adobe suite mastery, though one-on one meetings and company-wide presentations.

Jaeman Active, Jaeman Support, and Gilda Care are disability support companies registered with the NDIS. They have engaged my services to enhance their branding across all facets of their businesses, from primary branding to event collateral. My role includes creating a comprehensive style guide to effectively communicate their brand essence parameters to a web designer, prospective employees and future scalibility.

The RMIT Graphic Design Study Tour is open to students who show an aptitude for design and have achieved high grades throughout their first year of study.
